Meet Ehmandah Ramsey — The Story Behind The Strategy
Experiential Speaker · Rest Evangelist · Community Architect · Founder
Some people find their calling. Ehmandah Ramsey was born into hers.
As the daughter of Rev. Dr. Shelter T. White — who founded and pastored Emmanuel Church for over fifty years — she grew up watching what it looks like to build something that outlasts you. Legacy wasn't a concept in her household. It was a practice.
That foundation shaped everything that followed. A pioneering coworking space. A nonprofit. Multiple community organizations. A TEDx stage. Nonprofit board leadership. Worship direction. Co-pastoring a legacy church alongside her sister. And somewhere in the middle of all of it — a complete burnout that brought her to her knees and changed the entire trajectory of her work.
That season taught her something the business world rarely says out loud: rest isn't the reward for finishing your to-do list. It's the foundation everything else is built on.
Now she brings that message — with the receipts to back it up — to entrepreneurs, founders, and organizations who are ready to stop glorifying exhaustion and start building something that actually lasts.
Ehmandah's work lives across three distinct worlds.
As The Chill CEO — her personal brand and platform — she speaks, writes, and creates containers for ambitious women who refuse to choose between building big and living well. Her signature keynote, From Burnout to Breakthrough, has moved rooms across the country with a framework as practical as it is transformative: Rest. Recalibrate. Rise.
As the founder of Selah Center of Wellbeing, she serves the people who carry everyone else — pastors. Born from decades of watching her father, her sister, and countless other shepherds pour themselves empty with nowhere to restore, Selah exists to change that.
And as the founder of She Stories, a nonprofit she launched in 2017, she has spent nearly a decade creating spaces for women to own the power of their own narrative — through free cohorts, community initiatives, and the annual Hello Fabulous Honors Dinner.
Three entities. One through-line: wholeness is the strategy.
Keynote Speaker · TEDx Moderator · Nonprofit Founder · MBA Candidate · Certified Bereavement Facilitator · Third-Generation Ministry Leader · Community Curator
